Aerostar Defense is a founder‑led mission‑integration company based in Huntsville, Alabama, focused on advancing U.S. defense capabilities across airborne systems, digital engineering, and advanced materials research. Built on deep aviation and mission‑system experience, Aerostar specializes in integrating complex technologies into coherent, operationally credible architectures.
Our work spans airborne ISR/EW integration, platform‑level mission‑system design, digital‑thread development, and mission‑thread engineering. Aerostar is currently establishing the Einstein Applied Sciences Laboratory—a secure RTD&E environment supporting coatings research, mission‑system prototyping, and digital‑engineering workflows, and a hypersonic testbed.
Aerostar operates through a network of trusted partners, including ATS Microjets for airborne experimentation and aerial target and test platforms, and is GSA‑aligned for engineering and technical services. This partnership ecosystem enables Aerostar to deliver integrator‑level capability while maintaining the agility of a focused, founder‑driven organization.
Aerostar’s mission is to build unique capabilities, accelerate innovation, and provide the United States with a new class of aviation‑grade mission integration.
Innovation in defense demands speed, speed in prototyping, speed in testing, and speed in getting capability into the hands of the warfighter. After spending more than a decade developing advanced materials technology that was delayed by bureaucracy, security reviews, and institutional inertia, I saw firsthand how slow processes can cost time, resources, and operational advantage.
The Department of War has opened the door for Veteran-Owned companies to accelerate capability development in ways previously impossible. Aerostar Defense was created to seize that opportunity and build a place where advanced materials, mission-system integration, and airborne experimentation can move at the speed of relevance.
Aerostar exists to avoid the mistakes of the past. We are building a secure, agile, founder‑led environment where ideas can be tested quickly, iterated intelligently, and transitioned responsibly.
Our mission is simple: deliver sovereign U.S. capability through rapid prototyping, disciplined integration, and aviation‑grade experimentation.
